Short version: Signer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything happens on your device.

1. Overview

Signer ("the app") is an American Sign Language fingerspelling app developed by Bilal Naeem. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and what we do not do with it.

Signer requests access to your device camera solely to detect hand signs in real time. Camera frames are:

Signer does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries. All machine learning models are bundled locally and run on-device using Apple's Core ML framework.

5. On-Device Processing

Sign detection, hand pose estimation, speech synthesis, and all other features operate entirely on your iPhone or iPad. No internet connection is required for any core feature of the app.

6. User Settings

Your in-app preferences (confidence threshold, speech settings, mask color, etc.) are saved locally to your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Signer does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users. Because no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of any age.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
